“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.” - Martin Luther King Jr.

I believe everyone faces adversity at some point in life. Whether you’re navigating trauma, a major life transition, complex relationships, or simply trying to make sense of your experiences, you deserve a space where you feel heard, understood, and valued for who you are.

Coming from a marginalized community, I understand the importance of representation, feeling seen, and having a space where you don’t have to dim your light to make others feel comfortable. My approach to therapy is simple: you are far more than your diagnosis, your trauma, or the challenges you’re facing. Therapy with me is a space where you can show up as your authentic self, have difficult conversations, embrace uncomfortable moments, and work through life’s challenges at your own pace. I believe in meeting you where you are, recognizing the experiences that have shaped you, and helping you discover strengths you may not even realize you have.

With a professional background in criminal justice, child welfare, elder care, and education, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside individuals and families from many different backgrounds and walks of life. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of how our environments, relationships, identities, and lived experiences can shape who we become. As a Black male and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I also recognize the importance of representation and cultural understanding in mental health care. Not everyone has had the opportunity to feel truly seen, heard, or understood, and I strive to create a space where you never have to question whether you belong.

I take a holistic approach to therapy, seeing the person beyond the problem and recognizing that healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey. Sometimes healing means confronting things we’ve spent years avoiding. Other times, it means learning to give ourselves grace, setting healthier boundaries, rediscovering our identity, or simply finding a way to make it through another day. Wherever you are in life, my goal is to walk alongside you—not to tell you who to be or how to live, but to help you recognize your strengths, find your voice, and create a life that feels authentic to you.

Above all, I want you to know that you matter, your voice matters, and you are enough. Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and you deserve to be met with compassion, authenticity, and understanding along the way. Your past may be part of your story, but it doesn’t have to write the rest of it.
