“The more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I thrive.” - Elliot Page

As people, we are constantly growing and evolving into new versions of ourselves. Sometimes that growth is uncomfortable and scary, especially in the chaotic times we’re living through. We were never meant to suffer alone. I view my role as forming a socially supportive environment where we can work through the challenges that come with being human together. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where we can process through these growing pains together, and the support, knowledge, and tools that can make growth and change less scary.

My specialties include supporting LGBTQ+ people and families, working through issues with body image, building a sense of self, and practicing mindfulness and manifestation. I take an intersectional approach to my work, blending therapeutic techniques, expertise in the social study of gender and culture, and over 6 years of research and teaching experience with adults across ages. I am here to listen, support, and meet you where you’re at. No two circumstances are the same, and I aim to provide personalized support even within group settings.

About Me: I came out as transgender to my family at age 20 and started medically transitioning at age 22. At the time, coming out was a shock and a challenge for many people in my life. It took many long conversations over the following years to foster the understanding within some family members. However, in the years since, fully embracing and expressing who I am has allowed me to foster deeper connections and relationships with my family, friends, and other supports. Now, I use the knowledge from this experience to help families find a “shortcut” to understanding and acceptance, creating space to learn and process their loved one’s transition. I completed a B.S. in sociology, with minors in political science and human rights, at Grand Valley State University in 2021, and I worked in community mental health in Grand Rapids before moving across the country to complete a M.A. in sociology at the University of Arizona in 2024. Across my professional and personal life, I have maintained a commitment to advocacy and equity, including multiple years of volunteering and training with organizations like Sociologists for Trans Justice.
